Marc McDonald joined Zausmer, Kaufman, August, Caldwell & Tayler, P.C. in May of 2010, specializing in civil defense litigation. Mr. McDonald's primary practice areas include: No-fault (PIP) Litigation; Auto Negligence; Premises Liability; General Negligence; Municipal Law; Contractual Law; Civil Rights Litigation; and Criminal Defense.

Mr. McDonald obtained his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Loyola University Chicago in 2001. Mr. McDonald graduated Cum Laude while Majoring in Finance and Minoring in History. Mr. McDonald was an Academic All-Conference selection while a member of Loyola's Mens' Basketball Team. Mr. McDonald was also a member of the Phi-Alpha-Theta, History Honors Society, and in 1999 was the Business Award winner at Loyola for Finance.

Mr. McDonald received his JD from Wayne State University in 2004, and was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan, and American Bar Association.

Mr. McDonald began his legal career clerking in Ford Motor Company's legal department before going into private practice for 5 years prior to joining Zausmer, Kaufman, August, Caldwell & Tayler, P.C. Throughout his career, Mr. McDonald has demonstrated expertise in trial practice, winning his first 15 jury trials. Mr. McDonald has practiced and successfully tried cases in both the Federal District Courts and State Circuit Courts.
